LEXINGTON – Gates are open at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio for its 44th annual edition this weekend, June 12 to 14.
The longest continuously-running event at the legendary track in Lexington, Ohio, will feature a mix of vintage and contemporary racing from five different Racing America series.
The extensive racing lineup features 26 races in a jam-packed, three-day schedule. Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) action will provide car enthusiasts history in motion on track throughout the weekend.
Joining the racing lineup are late-model Porsche and Ferrari competitors from the International GT competing in two sprint and one endurance format races. Rising racing stars in the Formula Regional Americas Championship, Formula 4 United States Championship and Ligier Junior Formula Championship will also take to the track in open-wheel competition.

Drivers from around the world and the United States, including Mid-Ohio’s own driving instructor Tommy Byrne, a native of Ireland and former Formula 1 driver, will be one of those entrants competing in the International GT races.
“This place has become my home away from home,” said Tommy Byrne about Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, “I’ve made so many great friends here, and it’s always a very special place to race.”
In addition to the on-track action, the Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio provides fans tremendous access to the cars and drivers. The paddock and garage areas are open all weekend for fans to explore.
On both Saturday (12:40 to 1:05 p.m.) and Sunday (12:50 to 1:15 p.m.), spectators will also have the unique opportunity to walk down pit lane, approach cars and drivers, get autographs and take pictures during the Pre-Race Fan Walks.
