MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Fire Department will be conducting annual hydrant flushing in the southern half of the City between Sept. 8 and Sept. 30.
The flushing is scheduled to begin around 8 a.m. and will conclude by 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Please refrain from using your washing machine to launder your clothing during the above-mentioned times. Sudden drops in water pressure may be noted, but should correct themselves after a few short minutes.
