MOUNT VERNON — The July 5 Knox County Grand Jury indicted 51-year-old William R. Hennell, Centerburg, on three counts of rape and four counts of gross sexual imposition.
The rape charges are first-degree felonies. The gross sexual imposition charges are third-degree felonies.
According to the indictment, the first alleged incident was between July 2013 and July 2014. The most recent was in June 2022.
All alleged incidents involved a minor. In five instances, the minor was under age 13.
The grand jury also handed down the following indictments:
Richard A. Murphy, Mount Vernon, aggravated burglary, first-degree felony; assault, first-degree misdemeanor; and aggravated menacing, first-degree misdemeanor
James W. Johnson, Fredericktown, criminal trespass, fourth-degree misdemeanor; falsification, first-degree misdemeanor; and aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony
Brischeau L. Lang, Mount Vernon, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree misdemeanor
Derek M. Cox, Mount Vernon, theft from a person in a protected class, fifth-degree felony
Stephen E. Deshong, Mount Vernon, grand theft of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony; and theft, fifth-degree felony
Joseph T. Duffy, Gambier, operating a vehicle under influence of alcohol, first-degree misdemeanor; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fifth-degree felony; possession of marihuana, minor misdemeanor; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree misdemeanor
Scott E. Vance, Howard, aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony; possession of fentanyl-related compound, fourth-degree felony; and possession of fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony
Frankie A. Perez, Mount Vernon, possession of fentanyl-related compound, fourth-degree felony; possession of cocaine, fifth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony
