MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Grand Jury indictments on June 21 included a Mount Vernon man charged with domestic violence.
Derek S. Weber, Mount Vernon, was indicted on domestic violence, a third-degree felony; disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor; and criminal damaging, second-degree misdemeanor.
Weber previously pleaded guilty to domestic violence in 2014 and 2019.
According to the indictment, on June 8 Weber allegedly caused or attempted to cause harm to a family or household member. In the process he impaired the ability of emergency personnel to respond. He also allegedly knowingly caused another individual to believe that he would harm her.
The criminal damaging charge stems from Weber allegedly damaging a television belonging to Super 8 Motel.
The grand jury handed down seven additional indictments:
Frankie A. Perez, Mount Vernon, one count of second-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs, two fourth-degree felony counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, two third-degree felony counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Five of the charges include forfeiture specifications.
Thomas A. Frost, Mount Vernon, felonious assault, second-degree felony
Darlene S. Cross, homeless, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony
Logan R. Vernon, Mount Vernon, possession of marijuana, fifth-degree felony with forfeiture specification
Jordan M.J. Collins, Howard, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; operating a vehicle under influence of alcohol, first-degree misdemeanor; and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree misdemeanor
Labrea J. Howland, St. Clairsville, possession of fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony
Tara L. Huff, Thornville, aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; and possessing drug abuse instruments, second-degree misdemeanor
