MOUNT VERNON — Chantel Corrie, executive director of Midwest Mission, presented the Legacy of Love Award in Honor of the late Beth Prince at Gay Street United Methodist Church on June 12.

“For 12 years, Beth faithfully served alongside Midwest Mission. She took 12 mission trips, gave generously of her time and talents, and shared the story of Midwest Mission wherever she went,” Corrie said. “She understood that mission is not simply something we support – it is something we live.”
Prince championed Gay Street United Methodist Church as a permanent collection site, helping gather resources that would bring hope and dignity to people around the world and around the corner.
“Because of her dedication, more donations were collected, more volunteers became involved, and more lives were touched by the love of Christ. Although Beth is no longer with us, her work did not end with her passing,” Corrie said.
