Crash Reports

June 22

  • A vehicle owned by Teresa A. Dennis was parked westbound in the Mount Vernon Shopping Plaza parking lot when it was struck in the rear-end by an unknown driver who left the area without reporting the crash.
  • Nicole Leone Miller and Jonas Mast were traveling east on Coshocton Ave. Miller failed to see Mast directly I front of her and struck Mast in the rear-end. The impact ejected a passenger onto the roadway. Miller was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
  • Shannon M. McElvain was traveling south on Wooster Rd. McElvain left the right side of the roadway and collided with a utility pole. She was cited for failure to control.

June 23

  • Linda D. Tedrow and Gregory T. Tedrow were eastbound on Coshocton Ave. Gregory stopped for a red light. Linda failed to stop striking Gregory in the rear-end. Linda Tedrow was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
  • Zeshawn Berry Sharif was stopped southwest bound in the Shalimar Apartments parking lot. Sharif backed northeast bound, striking a garage unit and the fence surrounding a set of garbage dumpsters. He also struck a pine tree as he attempted to turn around in another area of the complex causing damage to the left side of the cab of the truck. Sharif was cited for starting and backing vehicles.
  • While searching for a fleeing suspect, Patience A. Weiser was traveling east and struck a rock that outlined the parking area.

June 24

  • Trey Scott Grohe was stopped eastbound in the Burger King drive-thru at the order box. Grohe proceeded to travel eastbound failing to clear the overhang clearance level and struck it with the ladder rack on top of his vehicle. The impact caused minor damage to the overhang and the ladder rack. Grohe was cited with starting and backing vehicles.
  • Brittany N. Tomlin and Inger M. Raymond were traveling east on Coshocton Ave. Tomlin stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Coshocton Ave. and Sychar Rd. Raymond rear-ended Tomlin.

June 25

  • Alejandro Giron attempted to turn south on N. Sandusky St. from the stop sign at Calhoun St. Kathleen Mascari was traveling south and stated she had to swerve out of the way. Sarah Jones attempted to swerve to the right to avoid Giron but struck him in the left rear side. Giron stated he did not see anybody coming when he attempted to turn but when he saw Mascari’s motorcycle he stopped in the roadway. It was at this point he was struck Jones’ vehicle. Giron was cited for improper left turn at an intersection.

Incident Reports

June 22

  • An officer was dispatched to a theft complaint at a residence on N. Mulberry St. An investigation is pending.
  • An officer responded to McGibney Rd. in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Bailey Snyder was subsequently arrested for domestic violence and assault. He was transported to Knox County Jail without incident.
  • Officers responded to the 8800 block of Granville Rd. in reference to a vandalism complaint. There is nothing further to report.

June 23

  • At around 12:13 PM, units were dispatched to Dollar General on Coshocton Ave. for a disturbance. There is nothing further to report.
  • At approximately 6:26 PM officers responded to Delano St. to investigate a suspicious person. There is nothing further to report.
  • At about 9:33 PM an officer was fueling his cruiser at the West Town Center at 600 W. High St. He observed an unknown individual fueling his vehicle at a nearby pump, then get into the passenger side of the vehicle. There was no driver. The officer ran the license plate and the owner was not valid. Nothing further to report at this time.

June 24

  • A business on Coshocton Ave. reported a male shoplifting merchandise. The suspect was identified and issued a summons for theft. A report was filed.
  • Units were dispatched to the 100 block of Newark Rd. in reference to a theft complaint.
  • Units were dispatched to Greenwood Ave. in reference to property damage.
  • At approximately 9:09 PM, units were dispatched to the 100 block of Mansfield Rd. in reference to a disturbance. One male was incarcerated. This case will be forwarded to the Knox County Prosecutor for further review.

June 25

  • A female who lives on Sychar Rd. reported fraud. She said someone was using her personal information. There are o suspects at this time.
  • At approximately 12:00AM units responded to the area of Walnut St. in reference to an assault. A female suspect left the scene but was later located and arrested.

June 26

  • At approximately 2:25 AM and officer responded to the area around Mulberry St. in reference to an abandoned vehicle sitting in the roadway. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • At approximately 11:00 AM an officer spoke to the complainant about her vehicle being taken by her son. An investigation is pending.
  • At 11:10 PM units responded to the area of Speedway at 1 Columbus Rd. in reference to a disturbance. A report was filed for documentation.
