MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Treasurer Shelley Coon reminds property owners that real estate property taxes are due on Friday, Feb. 4.
Payments may be made in the treasurer’s office, 117 E. High St., Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Credit card payments may be made online through www.co.knox.oh.us at the treasurer’s site. There is a service fee charged by Forte, the credit card processor.
Payments are also accepted at any Park National Bank branch within Knox County through the due date as long as you have your statement for payment.
Mailed payments must be postmarked at the post office no later than Feb. 4 to avoid a penalty.
Property owners are responsible for paying their taxes even if a statement is not received. Contact the treasurer’s office at (740) 393-6735 if you did not receive a statement.
