MOUNT VERNON — Considering that the neighboring Jake’s Steakhouse and Hardee’s are vacant, passers-by might be viewing the demolition of Wendy’s Restaurant on Coshocton Avenue with some trepidation.
Have no fear, Wendy’s fans. Owner Joe Curran said a brand new restaurant will be built at the 994 Coshocton Ave. location.
“[The restaurant] was built in February 1977,” said Curran. “The building’s worn out.”
Xenia-based Boxley Contracting Services is the contractor. Construction is expected to take 14 weeks.
Curran rebuilt the Wendy’s restaurant at 522 S. Main St. in 2015.
