KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

July 12

  • Amber M. Morningstar was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. She was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
  • Brian Booth was traveling north on Jug Run Rd. and crossed the center line. Booth traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. He was cited for driving under the influence.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Cleveland Ave. in Centerburg on a suspicious vehicle complaint. When deputies arrived on the scene they searched for and found the vehicle parked on Fairview Ave. The driver, Austin Reedy, was identified and found to have an active warrant out of Delaware County Common Pleas Court. He was arrested and transported to the Knox/Delaware county line and released to the Delaware Sheriff’s Office.

July 13

  • The complainant advised the back glass of his vesicle was broken when they returned home.
  • The complainant reported finding an abandoned truck on his parent’s farm. It was determined the truck had been reported stolen from Mount Vernon. The truck’s owner recovered the vehicle and it was removed from the LEADS list of stolen vehicles.
  • Deputies were dispatched to New Delaware Rd. on a report of a disturbance. The complainant reported her live-in boyfriend had thrown a cup of hot coffee in her face after a verbal argument. The suspect, William Jeremiah Burch, was located and arrested without incident.
  • The complainant reported in the last few days, persons unknown had removed property from his parents’ farm.
  • The complainant reported sometime overnight, persons unknown removed his mailbox and mailbox post from the end of his driveway.
