MANSFIELD — Mansfield Police reported investigators are probing a fatal shooting Monday afternoon in a second floor apartment at 650 Straub Road.
Assistant Police chief Keith Porch confirmed there was an incident at this location that involved Mansfield Police officers. He also confirmed there is a deceased person.
Crime scene tape lined the area and Bob Ball, an investigator with the Richland County Coroner’s office, responded to the scene around 5 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing and an official statement is expected later this evening.
