MOUNT VERNON — Main Street Mount Vernon invites the public to its 4th Quarter Happy Hour Networking event Thursday, Nov. 1 starting at 5 p.m. at Amato’s Woodfired Pizza, 668 N. Sandusky St., Mount Vernon, followed by the 2018 Christmas Parade Auction starting at 6 p.m.
“Main Street Mount Vernon is working to develop not only new traditions but also to support wonderful existing community events, such as the annual Christmas walk,” says Sara Butz, Director of Performance Improvement at Knox Community Hospital and Main Street Mount Vernon Board Member. “We hope to generate more awareness and support by extending the fundraising to more folks in the upcoming holiday season. By supporting this and other events we are helping keep Mount Vernon vibrant and a truly unique gem of a town.”
Join the Happy Hour and make some new connections and socialize with current ones while enjoying free appetizers. Then afterward be sure to participate in the annual Christmas Parade Auction, with the new tradition of the Christmas Gift Card Fundraiser. With a $20 donation, you will have the opportunity to choose a gift card from the gift card Christmas tree with a chance of pulling a gift card valued anywhere between $5 to $100. All proceeds will be donated to the 2018 Christmas Walk and Main Street Mount Vernon.
