Crash Reports

Feb. 5

  • A vehicle owned by Korinna N. Wadell was parked off W. Chestnut St. and was struck by an unknown vehicle. The unknown vehicle fled the scene.

Feb. 6

  • Mary L. Mayes was backing from the east to the north onto Yauger Rd when it struck a vehicle owned by David D. Duncan. Both had been parked in front of a Yauger Rd. business. Mayes was unaware of the accident and left the scene. No injuries were reported.

Incident Reports

Feb. 5

  • An officer responded to a Coshocton Ave. business on a parking complaint. The vehicle was subsequently impounded and secures at the city impound lot. The ignition key was unavailable at the time.
  • At approximately 10:57 A.M. officers responded to a disturbance at a Follin Ave. apartment A male had left the residence on foot and was located at Mansfield Ave. and Belmont Dr. Upon arrival at the residence, the officer spoke with the complainant and a witness. Statements were taken and a report made.
  • At 11:56 A.M. an officer responded to a Coshocton Ave. business on a report of shoplifting. A 20 oz. Mountain Dew and a package of Hostess Crunch Mini Donuts were taken. A report was taken for the incident. The suspect is unknown at this time.
  • At approximately 8:49 P.M. an officer arrived at a Coshocton ave. business in reference to a shoplifting suspect being detained by the business’ Asset Protection personnel. The suspect had been observed taking merchandise beyond the last point of sale without offering payment. The merchandise included items from the Health and Beauty aisle, to wit: peroxide, male enhancement product, personal lubricant and headphones along with 2 DVD videos. Initially, the suspect refused to return to the store but finally agreed to do so and had been very cooperative from that point. The suspect said he had considered running but was “glad” he had been caught, adding it was the first time he had been caught stealing from the business. The suspect was issued a summons for petty theft and signed a no trespass order for the business. The items that had been taken were returned to the store unopened and undamaged. The investigation is closed.
  • At 10:48 P.M. an officer responded to a Coshocton Ave. business in reference to a reported theft. When the officer arrived he spoke with the Asset Protection officer who had detained two female suspects. After reviewing the incident the officer issued a summons in lieu of arrest for theft to one suspect and the suspect’s mother received a summons in lieu of arrest for complicity to theft. Both individuals were banned from trespassing on the company’s property.

Feb. 6

  • A stolen vehicle was located at the intersection of W., Chestnut St. and N. Harrison St. After knocking at the door of a nearby residence a male inside was identified as Jarrod Martino who was found to have an active arrest warrant from Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Drug paraphernalia was also found at the residence. A female at the residence admitted to having possession of the stolen vehicle. Martino was arrested on the warrant and issued a summons for the paraphernalia. The female suspect was issued a summons for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
  • An officer was dispatched to a Shirley Ave. apartment in reference to a disturbance When the officer arrived at the scene he spoke with Lynnette M. Rice who was advised the police had been called due to concern of constant screaming. Rice told the officer she had been correcting her autistic grandson who had damaged her TV by throwing a remote at it. After investigating the incident the officer was advised by dispatch that Rice had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. Rice was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.

  • Corey Focht, 35, Upper Fredericktown Rd. was cited for driving under suspension/revocation.
  • Demetrius Caldwell, 31, E. High St., was charged with a warrant for probation violation.

Feb. 4

  • Pablo Heredia, 21, Sunset St. was arrested for failure to display both license plated and curfew violation.
  • Joseph Heins,18, Adamson St. was arrested for curfew violation: aiding and abetting.

Feb. 5

  • Charles Walters, 30, Dayton,was cited for failure to control/weaving and failure to stop after a crash off street.
  • Tracy Hagans, 55, Upper Gilchrist Rd. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Scott Boylen,48, Marengo, was arrested for theft.
  • Diana Thompson,42, Columbus,was charged with theft.
  • Karen Robinson, 68, Shalimar Dr. was charged with complicity.

Feb. 6

  • Justin Scott, 18,E. Hamtramck St. was cited for no operator’s license.
  • Jacob Wilson,19, N. Sandusky St. was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and with possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia. He was also cited for driving under FRA suspension.
  • Jennifer Pauley, 36, N. Norton St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Anna Thomas,41, Columbus, was cited for driving under FRA suspension.
  • Jesse Sisson, 26, Nelsonville, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Jarrods Martino, 33, W. Chestnut St. was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for drug paraphernalia offenses.
  • Mandy Overeton, 31, Utica, was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
  • Jessica Meza, Houston Tx. was charged with petty theft.
  • Lynette Rice, 55, Newark, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
