MOUNT VERNON – Mark D. Blanchard has been named manager of the First-Knox National Bank Centerburg Office.
Blanchard is a familiar face at First-Knox. He was previously employed with First-Knox for 10 years as the Fredericktown Office manager. His wife’s job transfer ultimately led them to move out of state for a few years, but family and a desire to return to their roots pulled them back to Knox County.
“My wife and I really enjoyed the last few years living in a few different states as she pursued her career aspirations,” Blanchard said. “But as grandchildren entered the picture, it became more and more difficult to stay away. We wanted the opportunity to be involved in our kid’s lives as they have families of their own.
“Timing is everything and job opportunities aligned for both me and my wife so we figured this was the perfect time to make the move. I am extremely pleased that I had the chance to come back to First-Knox and I’m excited to get involved in the Centerburg community.”
Mark is a graduate of Mansfield Business College. He has completed numerous banking schools, including the Ohio Banker’s League Bank Management School, and the Knox County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Knox program.
“We were pleased to hear Mark was looking to come back to the area,” said Vickie A. Sant, president of First-Knox National Bank. “He did an excellent job in our Fredericktown community and with Laurie Gallwitz’s move to the Blackjack Road Office, we had a need for a manager in Centerburg. We knew Mark was the right one for the job.”
Mark and his wife, Sheri, currently reside in Mount Vernon. They have three grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and one grandson. Mark can be reached at the Centerburg Office at 740.625.6136 or MBlanchard@FirstKnox.com
The public is invited to attend an open house at the Centerburg Office, 35 West Main Street, on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
