2025 Junior Fair reakfast Credit: Knox County Chamber of Commerce

MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Junior Fair Breakfast, a community tradition.

The event will take place on Thursday, July 9, at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center, located at 700 Perimeter Drive on the fairgrounds. Doors open at 8 a.m., with the program beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m.

“The Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this annual event and partner with CES Credit Union as our corporate sponsor,” said Jill McCartney, Knox County Chamber of Commerce’s executive director.

“Both our organizations recognize the many benefits Junior Fair participants gain through their program—from enhancing their leadership skills to gaining confidence, discipline, and so much more. The Chamber, CES Credit Union, and our members are glad to contribute to this awards program.”

The breakfast is an opportunity to show support for the young people participating in the Knox County Junior Fair. These participants come from the 4-H, FFA, Grange, Scouts, and Cloverbuds programs. Guests will enjoy a meal and hear directly from junior fair participants as they share the effort and passion behind their fair projects.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Knox County Junior Fair Awards, helping to recognize the hard work and achievements of these future leaders.

As James McLaughlin, marketing director of CES, puts it, “We know the young women and men in these programs put in a lot of hard work and learn new skills, like public speaking and showmanship. History shows these programs produce some of the best future citizens, business owners, employees and leaders in our county.”

Space is limited, and advanced registration is required. The deadline for registration and cancellation is Wednesday, July 1. The event is non-refundable.
