FREDERICKTOWN – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving a motor vehicle and a horse-drawn buggy. The crash occurred at 8:00 P.M. on Monday on Waterford Road (County Road 6) northwest of SR 13.

Tammy L. Green, age 43, of Fredericktown was traveling southeast on Waterford Road in a 1997 Lincoln Town Car. Ms. Green drove into the rear-end of a horse-drawn buggy. The horse-drawn buggy was also southeast on Waterford Road. The buggy was operated by David P. Yoder, age 43, of Fredericktown, Ohio. He was

transported to Knox Community Hospital with serious injuries. He was transferred to The Ohio State University Medical Center. Mr. Yoder’s wife and 13-week old daughter were passengers on the buggy. Emma M. Yoder, age 44, was transported to OSU Medical Center by MedFlight with life-threatening injuries. Their daughter was transported to KCH and then to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The child is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Ms. Green was transported to KCH with minor injuries.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fredericktown Community Fire District, Jefferson-Belville Fire Department, Morrow County EMS, and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mount Gilead Highway Patrol Post.
