MVPD

Incidents:

On 9/9/16 officers were dispatched to a Third Ave. address on a report of theft. Upon arrival officers spoke with the resident who stated her friend 

stole some of her son’s belongings. The investigation is pending and no charges have been filled at this time.

On 9/8/16 a Burgess Street resident reported he found two uncapped hypodermic needles. He was mowing his neighbor’s yard when he found them next to a telephone pole in front of the yard. The needles were collected by officers for destruction at a later date.

Citations:

Michael Thompson, 51, Pickerington, was cited on 9/8/16 for a stop sign violation.
Sarah Stumpf, 18, Follin Avenue, Mount Vernon, was cited on 9/8/16 for assured clear distance ahead in a non-injury crash.
Alexander Stewart, 22, Grove City OH, was cited on 9/8/16 for a stop sign violation.
Robert Schade, 48, N. Park street, Mount Vernon, was cited on 9/8/16 for driving under suspension.

Accidents:

On 9/8/16 a car driven by Sarah Strumpf, Follin Ave, was directly behind a car driven by Donald E. Scott, Avalon Road, when Scott stopped for traffic at the intersection of Coshocton Ave. and N. Division St. Strumpf was unable to stop in time causing her to hit Scott’s car.

On 9/8/16, a car driven by Alexander Stewart, Grove City, Ohio, was traveling south on N. Edgewood Road and was stopped for a stop sign at the intersection of E. High Street. A car driven by Shaye M. Tiell was traveling west on E. High St. when Stewart failed to yield right of way to Tiell, causing a traffic crash.
