Joseph Spearman, 29, was stopped on 9/4/16 for squealing tires and exhaust noise and was issued a citation.
Michael Goines, 33, Howard Street, Mount Vernon was arrested 9/4/16 and charged with for unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Robert Balcom, 25, homeless, was arrested for driving under suspension, domestic violence, criminal damaging and on a warrant for probation violation.
Lindsay Sands, 39, Barnes Road, Centerburg, was charged with theft related to shoplifting.
Christopher Moreland, 49, Columbus, was cited on 9/2/16 for red light violation.
Seanace Jarvis, 26, W. High Street, Mount Vernon was arrested on 9/3/16 on an outstanding warrant.
Brandon Chaffin, whose address is listed on the report as “whereabouts unknown,” was charged on 9/3/16 with an outstanding warrant.
Robert Betancourt, 61, Carson Road, Mount Vernon was charged with theft on 9/2/16 related to shoplifting.
Ruth Cooper, 47, Arrowhead Drive, Fredericktown was cited on 9/2/16 with a stop sign violation.
Frank Lewis, 50, Quarry Street, Mount Vernon was arrested on an outstanding warrant and drug paraphernalia offenses.
Angela Everhart, 46, S. Norton Street, Mount Vernon, was cited for failure to control/weaving course.
Sophie Weir, 18, of Callifornia, was arrested on 9/2/16 on charges related to fraud.
Catherine Alibrando, 55, E. Burgess Street, Mount Vernon, was charged with theft.
Brittany Erow, 20, Mount Vernon Ave. Mount Vernon was cited on a traffic stop for an exhaust system violation.
Quinton Blair, 41, Coshocton Avenue, Mount Vernon, was cited on 9/2/16 for driving under suspension.
Accidents:
On 9/2/16 a car driven by Ruth M. Coooper, Arrowhead Dr. Fredericktown was traveling westbound on Longitude Drive and failed to yield right of way at a strop sign. It was struck by a car driven by Virgil Bird, Burgess St. Mount Vernon. The impact caused both cars to leave the right side of the roadway and strike several street signs.
On 9/21/16 Angela S. Everhart, Norton Street, Mount Vernon was driving a vehicle in a Howard Street business parking lot and backed into a car. She failed to see a vehicle owned by a Gambier Street, Mount Vernon resident.
On 9/3/16 a car driven by Rodney E. Talbot, Hall Road, Centerburg, pulled from the Taco Bell parking lot on Coshocton Avenue, eastbound when it was struck by a car driven by Matthew Burch, Massillon. No injuries were reported.

Incidents:
On 9/02/16 an officer was dispatched to Hilltop Drive on a report of a theft. An unknown person had removed the Ohio license plate from the owner’s boat. Nothing further.
On 9/2/16 an officer responded to a Burgess Street address on a fraud complaint. Officer obtained a written statement from complainant. The alleged fraud occurred somewhere in Florida. No charges were filed at that time.
On 9/32/17 officer responded to a Dixie Drive address on a theft from a vehicle complaint. Officer obtained a written complaint at that time. suspect(s) are unknown and investigation has been closed pending any leads are developed.
On 9/3/16 officer responded to a Dixie Drive Address on a breaking and entering complaint. Officer obtained a written statement and photographs from complainant. The suspect is unknown at this time. The investigation is closed and will be reopened if any leads or suspects are developed.
On 09/04/16 an officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. The investigation continues and no further information is available.
On 09/04/16 Michael Gaines was issued a summons in lieu of his arrest for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after an incident at a Howard Street address in Mount Vernon.
On 09/04/16 a female reported that she was involved in an altercation with her boyfriend, Robert Balcom. She stated he got upset and struck her while still in his vehicle. He later got behind the wheel of the vehicle without a drivers license and left after the female had exited the vehicle. Prior to that he had jumped on the hood and stomped the windshield, damaging it. Balcom was later found near the scene of the incident on Calhoun Street. He was arrested and transported to the Knox County jail. His probation officer was contracted and made aware of the situation. Balcom was charged with domestic violence, criminal damaging. Probation violation and driving with s suspended license.
On 09/05/16 an officer met with Russell Nutt in reference to items stolen from his car. Nutt stated there were other vehicle break-ins on the same date on his street. There are no suspects at this time and nothing further to report.
On 09/05/16 officer responded to the 800 block of Coshocton Avenue in reference to a shoplifting. Officer made contact with a loss prevention associate who indicated that Lindsay Sands had attempted to shoplift. Sands was issued a summons for petty theft and released from the scene.

On 9/2/16 a Northern Spy Road, Howard resident reported a person unknown vandalized a truck tire.
On 9/3/16 a Mansfield resident reported his company work truck had been broken into and several items taken. A report was made for documentation.
On 9/3/ a Lakeview Drive, Mount Vernon, resident reported items were taken from her husband’s two vehicles that were parked at their residence. Both vehicles were unlocked.
On 9/3/16 another Lakeview Drive resident, Mount Vernon, reported an unknown individual entered three unlocked cars parked at her residence. Item were stolen from two of the vehicles.
On 9/3/16, a complainant reported an unknown individual stole a gas jug from a trailer while parked on Apple Valley Drive, Howard.
On 9/4/16, deputy was at the Speedway on Columbus Road when he observed the clerk advise suspect to leave the premises. Suspect was very disorderly with the clerk and the deputy. Suspect was arrested for DOC-P intox and criminal trespass. Suspect was identified as Richard L. Young, Jr., Feasel Road, Mount Vernon.
On 9/4/16 Martha McFadden and co-complainant Valery J. Price came to Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint against Timothy E. Price all of Howard, for making threats of harm. Timothy Price was arrested for aggravated menacing.
On 9/4/16 a Meadowbrook Drive, Mount Vernon resident reported someone used her credit card at a Kroger in Hamilton County without her permission. A report was made to document the incident.
On 9/5/16 Bridget McElroy was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court. McElroy was arrested and transported to the Knox County jail.
