COSHOCTON – Sheriff Tim Rogers reports that at approximately 12:35 pm Wednesday, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call by a local mother reporting her 9 year old son was struck by lightning and was unresponsive in the area of Jefferson Twp. 341.
Coshocton County EMS was first on scene with Walhonding Valley Fire and Coshocton County Sheriff’s office also responding to assist EMS and the family.
The child was transported from the scene to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital where he later died from this injury.
