Fire damaged Dan Emmett house to be discussed at Mount Vernon City Council

MOUNT VERNON – Tonight’s city council committee agenda includes a 7 p.m. discussion by the Parks and Lands committee of the Dan Emmett house at 501 S. Main Street. An arsonist is believed to have started the fire that heavily damaged the structure last June.  

The House stands on city property and had been operated as a museum by the Knox County Historical Society.
