Arrests and Charges:
Edwin Hall, 49, of Mount Vernon was charged at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday for possession of marihuana-related drug paraphernalia.
Traffic Citations:
Anthony Reed, 21, of Newark was cited at 9:10 a.m. on Thursday for speeding.
David Randall, 88, of Mount Vernon was cited at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.
Ryan Blusser, 28, of Howard was cited at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with expired license plates.
Accidents:
At 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, Sharon K. Helmbright, 63, of Howard was stopped in the parking lot on Blackjack Road in her 2001 Ford 350. Sandra I. Reppart, 68, of Mount Vernon was immediately behind her in her 2013 Chevy Impala. Helmbright backed up into Reppart’s vehicle.
Just after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Tina Marie Carothers, 52, of Mount Vernon was heading northbound on N. Sandusky Street in her 2014 Toyota Rav4. David C. Randall, 88, of Mount Vernon was immediately behind her in his 1993 Buick. When Carothers stopped for traffic at W. Burgess Street, Randall rear-ended her. Randall was cited for the incident.
Incidents
At 6:05 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a report of a residential alarm at a residence on the 000-block of Dogwood Terrace.
At 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, a victim reported that someone had used her Kohl’s card without her permission. A suspect was identified.
At 9:25 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to a domestic complaint at a residence on Ringold Street.
