MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon Nazarene University will host the Women’s Auxiliary Spring Conference on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14, 2015. Members and guests are invited to attend. The conference will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday and will feature speaker Laura Story.

Laura Story will share stories from her first book, When God Doesn’t Fix It: Lessons You Never Wanted to Learn; Truths You Can’t Live Without. In her stories, Laura speaks about a journey from ideals and expectations through painful heartbreak and on to the incredible truths that she uncovered in her study of God’s Word. She will offer information from a friend who understands, important biblical insights, and hope that God has not forgotten.

The Women’s Auxiliary began as an MVNU campus organization called The Lakeholm Ladies. In 1980, the auxiliary expanded to accept members from across the MVNU educational region: Ohio, eastern Kentucky, and West Virginia. The auxiliary hosts an annual on-campus retreat, and the women contribute gifts to fund MVNU student scholarships. Approximately $287,000 has been awarded in scholarships to date.
