MOUNT VERNON – The MVPD has added a new officer to its ranks. Nicholas Holdren, 34,  of Fredericktown was sworn in Monday afternoon at City Hall. Holdren has served as an auxiliary officer for one year. Chief Roger Monroe said Holdren “will be a good asset to the depatment.”

Holdren starts on the job this Sunday during the 4:00 p.m. to midnight shift.
