MOUNT VERNON – Knox County Common Pleas Judge Otho Eyster handed down sentences Friday. Max Bricker, 22, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced on one charge of robbery, a felony of the third-degree. Bricker was sentenced to 24 months in prison with a 148 day jail time credit. He was also ordered to pay court costs. This case was investigated by Det. Beth Marti of the Mount Vernon Police Department.

Christopher Goudy, 23, of Mount Vernon was sentenced on one charge of vandalism, a felony of the fifth-degree. Goudy was denied community control and will serve 11 months in prison with 1 day of credit. He was ordered to pay court costs and $225.24 in restitution to the Five Point Carry Out. Goudy will also serve a three-year term of post-release control following his release from prison. This case was investigated by Cpl. Kyle Theibert of the Mount Vernon Police Department.

Caleb Vernon, 29, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced on one count of aggravated possession  of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs in a separate case, also fifth-degree felonies. He will receive three years of community control with an 11 month suspended prison sentence. Vernon was ordered to serve 75 days in jail on each count with the sentences to run concurrently. A 6 month license suspension was imposed in each case.  The case was investigated by Ptl. Mike Wheeler and Ptl. Aaron Collins of the Mount Vernon Police Department.

Frank Flood, 40, of Frazeysburg, was sentenced on one count of complicity to commit grand theft, a felony of the fifth-degree. He was placed on community control for a period of three years, and ordered to serve 30 days in the Knox County Jail.  Flood was ordered to pay the costs of the case and $610.74 in restitution to United Precast.  Violations of his community control could lead to the imposition of an 11 month prison sentence.  This case was investigated by Ptl. Qade Lewis of the Mount Vernon Police Department.

Annette Boyd, 53, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced on one charge of complicity to passing bad checks, a fifth-degree felony.  Judge Eyster imposed a three year term of community control and Boyd was ordered to pay the costs of the proceedings and $625 in restitution to the local Eagle Club #760.  If she violates the terms of her community control, she faces the imposition of a nine month suspended prison sentence.  This case was investigated by Ptl. Travis Tharp of the Mount Vernon Police Department.
