Traffic Citations: Dennis George, 54, of Howard was cited at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Patricia Floyd, 67, of Dover was cited just before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday for running a red-light.

Destiney Walters, 28, of Danville was cited at 12:25 p.m. on Thursady for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Charles Tickle, 83, of Mount Vernon was cited at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday for reckless operation of a motor vehicle in the McDonald’s parking lot.

Branden Gamble, 17, of Mount Vernon was cited at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday for driving under a suspended license.

Jodiah Berger, 33, of Fredericktown was cited at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Accidents: At 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Donald L. Basye, 31, of Bellville was heading eastbound on Mount Vernon Avenue in a city-owned 2013 Chevy TK.  Dennis L. George, 54, of Howard was immediately behind him in his 2013 Buick.  When Basye stopped for traffic at the Newark Road intersection, George failed to stop and rear-ended him.  George was cited for the incident.

Just before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Patricia G. George, 67, of Dover was northbound on S. Gay Street in her 2001 Dodge Neon.  Barbara M. Dougherty, 77, of Mount Vernon was eastbound on E. Vine Street in her 1999 Ford Taurus.  At the intersection of those two streets, Floyd ran a red-light and struck Dougherty’s vehicle.  Dover was cited for the incident.

At 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Brenden C. Moore, 32, of Mount Vernon was traveling westbound on E. Chestnut Street in a 2003 Dodge Neon.  Jodiah Leigh Berger, 33, of Fredericktown was immediately behind him in his 2003 Mitsubishi Expo.  When Moore slowed for traffic, Berger rear-ended him.  Berger was cited for the incident.

Incidents: At 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, officers responded to an alarm at a residence on the 000-block of El Nido Court.

At 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, a resident of the 100-block of Birch Street requested an officer assist her because a neighbor had threatened to harm her animals.   A suspect was identified.

At 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, a  resident of the 300-block of Wooster Road reported that his 1998 Volvo had been vandalized.  A suspect was identified.
