CAMBRIDGE – The Mount Vernon JV golf team participated in the Meadowbrook Invitational at Cambridge Country Club today. Logan Springer had a career low score on his front nine with a 40. He carded a 45 on the back nine and finished with a 85. coach Aaron Hale said, “Logan has been playing very well and I have been impressed with his play so far this year.”
Second on the team was Zach Smith with a 96. Third was Jake Smith who shot a 99. Luke Trese shot a season best of 54 on the front nine and followed it up with a 54 on the back nine to finish with a 108. The fifth score came from Austin Stone who posted a 112.
Hale said, “As a team we shot a 388 and came in 6th out of 9 teams. I was happy with the teams play and I think our best scores are to come.”
