At 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported that someone entered his vehicle while parked on the 400-block of Walnut Street and removed several items. Among them were $135.00 worth ofO’Charley’s and Ruby Tuesdays gift cards and several packs of sympathy cards and envelopes. A suspect was identified.
At 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a resident reported finding three BB-rifles inside a dumpster at Beech Street Apartments. They were collected by an officer and placed into the evidence locker for safekeeping.
At 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle was towed from the 100-block of Newark Road to the impound lot by Howard Street Garage upon request of the Detective Bureau.
At 2:45 a.m. on Monday, a disturbance was reported at a residence on the 100-block of Kirk Street. A suspects were identified and underage consumption was involved.
At 2:00 a.m. on Monday, units were dispatched in response to a disturbance on the 100-block of East Gambier Street.
At 4:50 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported that he was being harassed via telecommunication. A suspect was identified.
At 5:15 p.m. on Monday, a bicycle was stolen at the Mount Vernon Public Library. A suspect was identified and charged.
At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, an officer—along with the MVFD—responded to a report of a female with a lacerated arm. A window on the front-door was broken and a suspect was identified and charged.
At 6:40 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to a business alarm at Auto Collision Solutions on the 500-block of W. Vine Street. They found a door on the west side of the main office open. No one appeared to be inside. They secured the building and contacted a keyholder. The keyholder declined to respond and the officers left the scene.
