Arrests and Charges: Thomas Ruby, 41, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday for persisting disorderly conduct.

Traffic Violations: Angela Milburn, 51, of Centerburg was cited at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead.

Vicki Hill, 63, of Mount Vernon was cited at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday for failing to devote her full time and attention to the road.

Richard Wenzel, 25, of Columbus was cited at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday for speeding (39 in a 25 mph zone).

Brianna Schultz, 19, of Wooster was cited at 12:40 p.m., on Wednesday for speeding (69 in a 55 mph zone).

Krasheena Eash, 20, of Utica was cited at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday for speeding (74 in a 55 mph zone).

Venkateswaran Coimbatore, 41, of Mount Vernon was cited at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday for speeding (53 in a 35 mph zone).

Accidents: At 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Vicki L. Hill, 63, of Mount Vernon  was heading westbound on Ohio Avenue in her 2001 Saturn.  As she turned right onto S. Sandusky Street, she went left of the center-line and struck head-on a semi-truck, driven by Curtis N. Bechtel, 57, of Fredericktown.  Hill was cited for the incident.

Incidents: At 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, a parked car was reported on W. Vine Street.  Its license plates had been reported as stolen.  An officer removed the plates and the vehicle was towed to the MVPD impound lot by Howard Street Garage.  A suspect was identified.

At around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported that his car had been vandalized while parked in his driveway on the 100-block of Brown Street.   A suspect was identified.

At 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to an activated business alarm at Mount Vernon Water and Wastewater.  They found several employees working inside and the doors were secured.  One of the employees told the officers that the alarm might have been triggered by the cleaning crew.

At 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, a victim reported the theft of several checks from his residence on the 000-block of Prospect Street.  One of them had been cashed for $380.00.  A suspect was identified.

At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a disturbance was reported at an apartment on the 100-block of N. Mulberry Street.  A suspect was identified and charged.

At 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, an attempted vehicle break-in was reported on the 300-block of Wooster Road.
