Arrests and Charges:  Austin Schnars, 19, of Marengo was charged at around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday with criminal trespassing and theft from a vehicle.

A 10-year-old juvenile was charged at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday with assault.

Austin Strouse, 19, of Mount Vernon was charged at 12:30 a.m. on Friday with domestic violence.

Stephen Deshong, 28, of Newark was arrested at around 1:15 a.m. on Friday for a probation violation.

Elizabeth Henderson, 51, of Newark was arrested at around 4:00 a.m. on Friday for criminal trespassing.

Four juveniles between 13 and 15 years old were picked up at 4:15 a.m. on Friday for a curfew violation on the 300-block of W. Vine Street.

Jamie Parker, 18, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday for disorderly conduct at an apartment on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.

Joshua Parker, 20, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday for disorderly conduct at an apartment on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.

Gerald Marti, 42, of Mount Vernon was arrested at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday for menacing.

Christopher Zedekar, 28, of Centerburg was picked up at 10:35 p.m. on Saturday for an outstanding warrant.

Shannon Cooper, 18, of Frazeysburg was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday for disorderly conduct.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday for assault.

Jeremy Pursel, 27, of Mount Vernon was arrested at around 6:10 p.m. on Sunday for an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Citations:  Jon Robbs, 28, of Columbus was cited at 8:05 p.m. on Friday for speeding.

Rusty Stiltner, 34, of Brinkhaven was cited at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday for driving under a suspended license.

Jackie Fletcher, 31, of Fredericktown was cited at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday for failing to stop after a crash.

Christopher Hays, 29, of Mount Vernon was cited at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday for running a stop-sign.

Accidents:

At 2:40 p.m. on Friday, Peggy J. Scott, 74, of Gambier was parked in a parking space at the Hiawatha Senior Village on Beech Street.  Janice R. Harris, 74, of Mount Vernon was driving westbound through the lot in her 1999 Lincoln Continental.  Scott failed to see Harris’s vehicle when she began backing her 2004 Ford Taurus out of the parking spot and she struck it in the side. 

At 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jackie R. Fletcher, 31, of Fredericktown attempted to back his 2011 Chevy Cruze out of a parking space at Ruby Tuesday.   When he did so, she struck a parked 2013 Chevy Equinox belonging to Christopher J. Mistak.  Fletcher was cited for the incident for failing to stop after an accident.

At 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Christopher A. Hays, 29, of Mount Vernon was traveling westbound on Howard Street in his 1999 Ford F-150.  Gary Foreman, Jr., 41, of Mount Vernon was traveling northbound on S. Gay Street in his 2005 Acura.  U1 failed to stop at the intersection of those streets and struck U2.  Hays was cited for the incident.

Incidents:

At around 4:15 a.m. on Friday, a suspect was charged with a curfew violation on the 300-block of W. Vine Street.

At 6:40 a.m. on Friday, a victim reported that, sometime during the previous night someone moved numerous objects that were in her yard on the 800-block of W. Gambier Street.  Two cement blocks and several lawn ornaments had been moved.  The victim noted her belief that her next-door neighbor was involved as they had previously disputed the placement of the line between their properties.  An officer took photos of the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.

At 8:00 a.m. on Friday, a victim reported the theft of 58 Xanax tablets from her apartment on the 200-block of Shirley Avenue.

At 8:10 p.m. on Friday, property found on the 000-block of Marion Street—including a red marijuana pipe in the shape of a baseball bat—was turned over to the MVPD to be destroyed.

At around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, a resident turned over a wallet he had found on the 300-block of Mulberry Street to the MVPD.

At 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a report of domestic violence at an apartment on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.  A suspect was identified and charged.

At around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, a victim reported that his vehicle had been damaged while parked at a residence on the 700-block of N. Sandusky Street.
