Jeremiah O’Neal, 27, of Mount Vernon was picked up at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday at his residence on Shirley Avenue for an outstanding warrant issued by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.  He was wanted also for Holmes County warrant.

Shyloh Smith, 19, of Mount Vernon was charged on October 5th with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Jordan C. Hendrix, 21, of Mount Vernon was also charged on October 5th with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Miranda L. Wintz, 32, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday for a parole violation.

 

Traffic Citations:

Ruth E. Wagner, 64, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday for failing to yield at a stop-sign.

Isaac C. Freeman, 30, of Bellville was cited at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday for failing to control his vehicle.

 

Accidents:

At around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Ruth K. Wyman, 64, of Mount Vernon was heading northbound on N. Center Street in her 2001 Chevy Cobalt.  Robert B. Lantz, 50, of Mount Vernon was heading westbound on E. High Street in his 2011 Buick LaCrosse.  Wyman came to the intersection and failed to see Lantz’s vehicle approaching.  Lantz struck Wyman’s vehicle in the side.  Wyman was cited for the incident.

At about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Eugene Leroy Siddle, 77, of Coshocton was heading westbound on Coshocton Avenue in his 2010 Toyota Prius.  Jessica M. Wardrop, 35, of Fredericktown was immediately behind him in her Toyota Rav4.  When Siddle stopped for the red-light at the west entrance to the Wal-Mart, Wardrop rear-ended his vehicle.  There was no visible damage to Siddle’s Prius but Wardrop’s radiator was leaking at the scene.  

At about 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Isaac C. Freeman, 30, of Bellville pulled onto Vernonview Drive from a driveway going northbound.  He made a wide turn and attempted to turn his 2008 Ford pick-up into another driveway of the same business.  In the process, he pulled in front of a 2010 Ford Escape, driven by Tina M. Martin, 42, of Loudonville, which struck his vehicle in the side.  Freeman was cited for the incident.

 

Incidents:

At around 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on the 700-block of W. Gambier Street.  A suspect was identified.

At 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer responded to a vandalism complaint at a residence on the 600-block of N. Sandusky Street.   The victim’s 1998 Ford Taurus had been damaged and items had been removed from it.  A suspect was identified.

At 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported that her black leather Ugg boots had been stolen at the Marie K. Wilson House assisted-living facility.

Just before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a residential alarm at a home on Dogwood Terrace.

At about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to an alarm at Sanoh America Inc. on Blackjack Road.  Upon arrival, they found the business open and spoke with a dock supervisor.  Everything appeared in order, so the officers left the scene.

At about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to an alarm at the Town Center Marathon on W. High Streets.  The alarm had been activated at the rear stock door and shoe prints were visible near that entrance.  The exterior of the building appeared secure, however, and several attempts were made to notify a keyholder of the incident.
