Daniel Gaudy, 24, of Danville was charged just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with petty theft from Wal-Mart.

Kyle A. Day, 27, of Mount Vernon was picked up just after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday for a parole violation.  He was charged also with possession of drug paraphernalia (a hypodermic needle).

Marcella Edwards, 28, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stephen A. Frost, Jr., 25, of Mount Vernon was picked up at around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday for a parole violation.

Samantha Yeater, 21, of Mount Vernon was picked up just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant.

Cameron G. Davidson, 19, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday for running a stop-sign.

Betty J. Reffitt, 82, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday for failing to yield at a left-turn.

Traffic Citations

Grant T. Boucher, 34, of Mount Vernon was cited just after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday for failure to control his vehicle.

George F. Ream, 93, of Fredericktown was cited in early October (10/3/13) for failing to assure a clear driving distance ahead.

Accidents

At around 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Betty J. Reffitt, 82, of Mount Vernon was southbound on Vernonview Drive in her 2004 Buick LeSabre.  She attempted to turn left onto Coshocton Avenue.  As she did so, Reffitt failed to yield to a 2004 Hyundai, driven by Mark P. King, 62, of Mount Vernon, and struck his vehicle.  Reffitt was cited for the incident.

Incidents

At about 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, an individual reported that a men’s mountain bike had been found at Dirko’s Pizza.  An officer collected it and placed it in the MVPD bicycle shed as found property.

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a Wal-Mart security officer reported a shoplifter.  The suspect was identified and charged.  Several items—including a hooded jacket, candy, cologne, and sunglasses—with a combined value of $79.36 were recovered.
