MOUNT VERNON — Detectives from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested Charles R. Shepard, age 58, of Howard, on charges of importuning.
Shepard had been communicating via text messages with what he thought was an underage female. The female was actually a Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detective. Shepard was arrested when he arrived at a location just outside of Mount Vernon for the pre-arranged meeting.
