MOUNT VERNON – On Friday September 27, 2013 officers from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office along with officers from the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted enhanced enforcement that was concentrated on St. Rt. 36 west of Mount Vernon. During the enforcement the following people were arrested on various charges.
Anthony R Ferrell Mount Vernon, charges include possession of drugs and a possible stolen firearm. During a traffic stop Ferrell fled on foot from officers into a nearby field. A standoff resulted when Ferrell threatened to kill himself with a handgun that was in his possession. Officers were finally able to talk him into surrendering and no one was injured.

Jeremy L. Dinsmore Mount Vernon, arrested on an active warrant.

Shawn M Garrad Mount Vernon, arrested on a probation violation. Other possible charges pending. During a traffic stop Garrad attempted to flee on foot from officers.

Also arrested earlier on Thursday night Daniel Stores and Alisha Vance were arrested and charged with possession of a large amount of prescription drugs, illegal drugs, and stolen property.
