MOUNT VERNON-Nearly 500 people lined up in their vehicles to take advantage of the Recycling Extravaganza by the DKMM Solid Waste District and the Knox County Commissioners last Saturday at the Knox County fairgrounds. Spokesperson Linda Montgomery says the turnout was more than they had anticipated. Recyclers waited up to an hour in their vehicles to pull up to the locations for TV’s, tires and hazardous waste drop-off.
The DKMM solid waste district is made up of representatives from Delaware, Knox, Morrow and Marion counties.
