Arrests:
Erika N. Cross, 32, of Howard was charged at around 11:00 p.m. on Monday with persistent disorderly conduct in an emergency facility.
Jessie J. Majors, 34, of Mount Vernon was charged at 10:10 p.m. on Monday with two counts of theft from the Wal-Mart.
Traffic Violations
Amylynn Reeves, 19, of Mount Vernon was cited just before 11:00 a.m. on Monday for operating a vehicle without a license.
Terry B. Byrd, 40, of Mount Vernon was cited at 11:15 a.m. on Monday for driving under a license that had been suspended for failure to pay child support.
Julie Gibson, 20, of Mount Vernon was cited at 5:30 p.m. on Monday for driving under a temporary permit without a licensed driver.
Sandra K. Collins, 50, of Huber Heights was cited at 6:40 p.m. on Monday for making an improper lane change.
Joseph A. Niehoff, 23, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 8:45 a.m. on Monday for driving under a suspended license.
Accidents:
At 3:40 p.m. on Monday, Nathan Eli Pratt, 25, of Mount Vernon had stopped his 2005 Chevy Colorado for traffic while heading eastbound on Coshocton Avenue near Hilltop Drive. Jeremiah L. Hoadley, 35, of Mount Vernon, who was immediately behind him in the same lane, was unable to stop his 1997 Chrysler Concorde in time and rear-ended Pratt’s vehicle.
Incidents:
At 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, an officer responded to a report of a theft on the 200-block of E. Sugar Street. Among the missing items was a wooden board and a bag of drywall anchor screws.
Just after midnight on Monday, officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence on the 600-block of W. Gambier Street. A suspect was identified.
At around 2:00 a.m. on Monday, an officer was dispatched to Kroger on a report of shoplifting. A suspect was identified and a bottle of whiskey was recovered.
At 7:00 a.m. on Monday, a neighbor reported finding a purse and its contents on the lawn of a residence on Longitude Drive. An officer made contact with the victim, who was there from West Virginia visiting her mother. The passenger window of her Honda Odyssey had been shattered and the purse had been taken from off the seat. The victim advised that nothing appeared to be missing from the purse—which contained a Kohl’s card, miscellaneous papers and receipts, and a collection of children’s DVDs.
At around 7:40 a.m. on Monday, a victim reported that her vehicle had been broken into while parked outside a residence on the 700-block of Upper Fredericktown Road. A purse had been removed from the 2010 Ford and an officer located it behind the garage. Its contents had been emptied onto the ground but the only thing that appeared to be missing was a pair of scissors.
At 9:00 a.m. on Monday, a victim reported a theft from a vehicle parked outside a residence on the 100-block of Rose Avenue. Among the missing items was a digital camera and $130.00 in cash.
At noon on Monday, an officer was dispatched to a residence on the 600-block of N. Sandusky Street regarding a theft. Among the missing items was a white gold engagement ring with gold hearts and a princess-cut diamond and yellow gold wedding band with seven small diamonds.
At 6:20 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported that her 1995 Saturn SL had been damaged while parked outside a residence on the 700-block of N. Sandusky Street.
At 6:45 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported the theft of three plates from his residence on the 700-block of Sandusky Street.
At around 10:10 p.m. on Monday, a Wal-Mart associate reported a shoplifter at Wal-Mart. A suspect was identified and a 50” Vizio HDTV and a Poulan 14” Electric Chain Saw were recovered.
At around 11:00 p.m. on Monday, officers were dispatched to Knox Community Hospital on a report of a disturbance.
