MOUNT VERNON – The MVBA has set the 2nd and final registration date for baseball sign-ups Saturday, January 17 at East Elementary from 9-1. You may also go www.mvbaleague.com and click on the tab labeled handouts for a 2015 application and mail in your application. There is an application for coach pitch and tee ball and there is a second for minor, major and babe ruth divisions.
Information for the 2015 season:
Registration Dates; January 10th & 17th from 9am-1pm @ East Elementary. **Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate with you**
Evaluation Date for Coach Pitch, Minor and Major Division will be held:
Saturday February 14th @ Pleasant Street Elementary
**Tee ball does not participate in the evaluation.**
Coach Pitch(Formerly machine pitch) is for ages 7 & 8
Time for Coach Pitch Evaluations: 8am-10am
Minor League is for ages 9 & 10
Time for Minor Evaluations: 10am-noon
Major League is for ages 11 & 12
Time for Major Evaluations is noon-2pm
Fees for the 2015 season:
Tee Ball: $60.00
Coach Pitch, Minor and Major: $80.00
Babe Ruth: $100.00
Family Max: $200.00
Beginning with the 2015 season Little League has changed the age cutoff requirements. If your child was born after 1/1/2007 he/she will be in either coach pitch(7&8 year old) or tee ball(5&6 year old) Basically, the age your child turns in 2015 will be the child’s league age per the new Little League guidelines. For example, if you child will turn 8 in 2015 this will be the league age for the season and will play in coach pitch. If you have a child that was born between May 1, 2005 & December 31st 2006 those children will be considered 9 year old players per the new rules and will play in Minors. Please note this is a league change set forth by Little League.
