MOUNT VERNON – Knox County Safety Council Scholarship program is for Knox County residents graduating from Knox County public high schools (including the Knox County Career Center). Students entering secondary education and majoring in a safety or safety related field may apply. Students must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher at the time of application.

The scholarship program will reward four Knox County students with a $1000 scholarship to be used towards obtaining their degree. Applications are available from the high school guidance offices in Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Mount Vernon and at the Knox County Career Center. Applicants should mail application, with essay (500 word) attached, to the Knox County Safety Council, 400 South Gay Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 and must be post-marked by March 17, 2015. The Knox County Safety Council Steering Committee will select four recipients and notify them of this award in April of 2015. Checks will be made payable to both the student and the college/university.
