Arrests and Charges
Roxanne A. Reed, 30, of Elkins Park, PA was charged at around 11:00 p.m. on Friday for persistent disorderly conduct at the intersection of Mulberry and Vine Streets.
Michael D. Deeter, 36, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday for persistent disorderly conduct at a residence on the 200-block of Kirk Street.
Colleen A. McPeele, 47, of Mount Vernon was charged just before 3:00 p.m. on Monday (9/9/13) with theft from the Wal-Mart.
Britney R. Church, 29, of Mount Vernon was charged at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday with domestic violence at a residence on the 100-bloc of N. McKenzie Street.
Bradley H. Bonkowski, 32, of Mount Vernon was also charged at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday with domestic violence at a residence on the 100-bloc of N. McKenzie Street.
Richard L. Keylor, 30, of Mount Vernon was picked up at around 10:15 on Friday for an outstanding warrant issued by Licking County.
Roxanne A. Reed, 30, of Elikins Park, PA was charged at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday with assault at the Knox County Jail. About fifteen minutes earlier, she was charged with assault at the emergency room at Knox Community Hospital.
Thomas Pruitt, 54, of Mount Vernon was picked up just after noon on Saturday for an outstanding warrant.
Amanda J. Durham, 35, of Mount Vernon was charged at 6:40 a.m. on Sunday with domestic violence at a residence on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.
Traffic Citations
Scott Bryant, 22, of Fredericktown was cited at around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday for operating a vehicle with expired plates.
Blake R. Evans, 27, of Worthington was cited at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday fro driving under a suspended license.
Addison L. Brinton, 23, of Traverse City, MI was cited at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday for speeding (53 in a 25 mph zone).
Billy J. Ball, 44, of Butler was charged at around 2:30 p.m. last Thursday for operation or sale of a motor vehicle without certification of title. He was cited also for operating a vehicle with fictitious registration tags and for driving without a valid license.
Patricia Raich, 60, of Mansfield was cited just before 7:30 a.m. on Friday for speeding.
Lawrence Budd Jr., 45, of Croton was cited at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday for failing to drive within marked lines.
Bryant J. Scott, 22, of Fredericktown was cited at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday for driving under a suspended license.
Blake Evans, 27, of Worthington was charged at around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Accidents
At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Robert L. Frye, 54, of Mount Vernon was stopped for traffic heading southbound on S. Main Street. Lawrence M. Budd Jr., 45, of Croton was entering Main Street heading southbound from Phillips Drive. As he did so, Lawrence’s semi struck Frye’s 1994 Chevy Silverado. Budd was cited for the incident.
Just before 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Cherie L. Gallagher, 65, of Mount Vernon backed his 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee out of a parking spot at Yellow Jacket Stadium and struck a memorial post.
Incidents
At around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, a disorderly female was picked up at the intersection of S. Mulberry Street and W. Vine Street for engaging in disorderly conduct. She was taken to Knox Community Hospital, treated, and then taking to the Knox County Jail. Other charges were incurred along the way—including an assault on a deputy from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
At 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, a suspect was charged with assaulting an employee of Knox Community Hospital.
At about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, an employee of the Mount Vernon Public Library found an Oregon ID card and turned it over to the MVPD.
Just before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers were requested at a residence on the 900-block of Howard Street on a report of a sick raccoon. The officer dispatched the raccoon with one shot from his duty pistol and was disposed of by the resident.
At around 6:40 a.m. on Sunday, a domestic violence incident was reported at a residence on the 700-block of Follin Avenue.
Just before noon on Sunday, an individual came to the MVPD and turned in a cell-phone that she had found near the railroad tracks on W. Chestnut Street. Because it was password-protected, the officer was unable to identify the owner so the phone was placed into an evidence locker. If anyone lost a purple HTC phone, possibly acquired from Verizon, they can inquire about it at the police department.
