Traffic Citations:
Michael M. Atkins, 28, of Mount Vernon was cited just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday for failing to assure a clear driving-distance ahead. He was cited also for driving under a suspended license.
Arrests:
Richard A. Henderson, 32, of Howard was picked up at around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday for on an outstanding warrant.
William N. Strouse, 44, of Mount Vernon was picked up at 7:40 p.m. on Monday for an outstanding warrant.
Tyler Smith, 18, of Mount Vernon was charged around 12:15 p.m. on Monday with disorderly conduct.
Accidents:
Just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Lisa M. Zoldak, 45, of Mount Vernon was heading west on Coshocton Avenue in his 2002 Ford Expedition approaching Vernonview Drive. When he stopped for traffic, he was rear-ended by a 1999 Dodge Caravan driven by Michael M. Atkins, 28, of Mount Vernon. Atkins was cited for the incident.
Incidents:
Just past 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a domestic violence complaint at a residence on the 500-block of E. Burgess Street. Suspects were identified.
At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported a burglary at his residence on the 300-block of Oak Street. $95.00 in cash was missing and a suspect was identified.
At 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a complainant reported that someone kicked in the door to a garage at The Main Place Mental Health Recovery Center on W. High Street.
At 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a victim reported that the radio was stolen from his Mazda B2000 while parked on the 000-block of Columbus Road.
Just before 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, a complainant reported that a suspect possessed drug paraphernalia at a residence on the 800-block of Howard Street. An officer recovered a green-and-silver marijuana pipe.
At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer spoke to a parent about custody issues.
Just after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Mount Vernon Hardware Storage Units. Suspects were caught with two televisions allegedly stolen from the units.
