Amanda L. Cox, 19, of Mount Vernon was charged just after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday with petty theft at the Knox County Career Center.
Carl A. Wells, 31, of Mount Vernon was charged at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday with petty theft from the Wal-Mart.
Gina Lynch, 46, of Mount Vernon was also charged at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday with petty theft from the Wal-Mart.
John Marple, 21, of Fredericktown was cited at around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was cited also for a faulty exhaust.
Traffic Violations:
Trina J. Osbron, 44, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday for failing to yield at a stop-sign.
William C. Bradley, 58, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 12:10 p.m. on Thursday for speeding (34 in a 25 mph zone).
Timothy Wiley, 27, of Mount Vernon was cited at around 1:20 a.m. on Thursday for running a red-light.

At 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, an officer responded to an alarm at the Buchwald Center. He checked the exterior of the building and everything appeared to be secure. When MVNU Security arrived, they checked the interior and found that everything appeared in order. They reset the alarm, secured the building, and left the scene.
At around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a staff member of the Knox County Career Center reported a theft at the facility. $20.00 was taken from someone’s purse and a suspect was identified and charged.
At 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a report of an unruly and aggressive juvenile at the Learning Center on the 900-block of W. Vine Street. A suspect was identified.
Just before 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a young juvenile was found walking unattended in the roadway on the Public Square. The juvenile was unable to give officers his name or the location of his residence. The Knox County Department of Job and Family Services was contacted and a social worker came to the scene and took custody of the child until a parent or guardian could be located.
At around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a disturbance was reported at the Dan Emmett Elementary School. A suspect was identified.
At 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, a resident of the 700-block of Follin Avenue reported the theft of 80 Oxycodone pills from her home.
