MOUNT VERNON – The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County will host, “A Day with Best-Selling Author Margaret Peterson-Haddix,” on Wednesday, June 25, as part of the Literary Elements Adult Summer Reading Program.
Haddix, a New York Times best-selling author of more than 30 titles for youth through adults, will be at the main library for a Brown Bag Chat discussion, “Elements of Writing” at noon. Open to all ages.
Haddix will then take a private tour of the Friends of the Library Book Warehouse and attend a book signing at Paragraphs Bookstore at 3:00 p.m.
At 6:30 p.m., Haddix will return to the main library to host a combined youth and adult book discussion “Elements of a Best Seller” featuring her fan favorite action thriller, “Running Out of Time,” in the lower level of the main library, 201 N. Mulberry Street. Feel free to read any (or all!) of her books in preparation for this book discussion open to all ages.
Entry forms are available at the main library for the Haddix “Superfan” contest for a chance for two lucky fans to attend a private meeting with the author. Books will be available at all events for purchase and autographs.
