KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

- An officer was dispatched to the Kenyon College Safety Office on a report of found drug paraphernalia. The items were picked up and placed into evidence for destruction.
- The complainant reported he attempted to assist a female suspect who was in trouble but she stole his vehicle. A report was taken and the stolen vehicle was entered into the Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS).
- An officer spoke with the complainant on the phone. He stated someone had stolen his identity and had opened numerous credit card accounts with various companies. He also stated someone had opened a checking account in his name in Georgia. He had contacted the bank and they closed the account. The complainant was given advice on how to deal with the issue. The complainant requested a report for documentation purposes.
Feb. 13
- The KCSO received an alarm from DOM Security for a business on Harcourt. When the officers arrived they discovered the front door to be broken in. The building was searched but no one was found inside. It was determined three chainsaws were stolen from the business. The chainsaws were entered into LEADS as stolen.
