Bonnie J. Caywood, age 91, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Morrow Manor Nursing Home in Chesterville, Ohio. She was born on July 23, 1934, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Paul and Eula (Fidler) Vickroy.
Bonnie was a lifetime member of Cornerstone Community Church (formerly Fredericktown United Methodist Church), where she was formerly on the board of trustees. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and Mother’s Club (Diapers to dates). Bonnie was the valedictorian and homecoming queen of the class of 1952.
Bonnie enjoyed being around her family, travelling outdoors and watching birds. She was a stay-at-home mother and raised 3 beautiful children. She loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and watching the marching band. Bonnie also taught Sunday school and Bible school at church.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Randy Caywood, Paula Bishop, and Trudy (Tom) Hilger; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Robey.
Along with her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Caywood; and a brother, Gail Vickroy.
A graveside service will take place at a later date.
