MANSFIELD – The Richland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Kings Corners East Road yesterday, July 7, 2014 after receiving a 911 call. Upon arrival at the scene, Deborah Hovestadt, was found inside the residence shot, however, the circumstances of how she was shot have not yet been determined. Detectives interviewed persons who were inside the residence when the incident occurred.
One of the persons interviewed was Darryl Jerome Taylor, who was later arrested for Having a Weapon Under Disability. He is currently incarcerated at the Richland County Jail.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
