MOUNT VERNON – Knox Foodies, LLC, in partnership with Road Hog Willy’s Real Pit Bar-
B-Q has announced the return of Blues, Brews, and BBQ in downtown Mount Vernon.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on South Main Street for a day full of great food, great music, and great fun.
The day will be packed with the best of central Ohio’s blues artists.
It starts with the return of Cigar Box Scott and the eclectic sounds from his hand-made cigar box guitar, followed by the soulful sounds of the Shaun Booker Dammit Band.
Fan favorite, Blue Spectrum will return to bring their award-winning blues and the days entertainment will wrap up with Mojo Blues bringing the energetic and innovative Chicago sound to the Bickerdyke Beer stage brought to you by Bickerdyke’s Table & Tap.
The festival is perfect for families.
Bluey and Bingo will be on hand for a meet and greet with the kids from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on West Vine Street. Local businesses and organizations will be on hand to showcase their products and resources, and arts & craft vendors be set up to showcase their unique works.
Any festival would be incomplete without great food. This event will highlight the delicious, flavor of slow smoked bar-b-cue favorites including ribs, wings, pork, and brisket.
Food lovers will have the opportunity to vote for the winners of our BBQ competition. Participating food trucks will battle for the coveted “People’s Choice” trophy sponsored by Streby Electrical Services, LLC.
Trophies, sponsored by Sponsler-Donley Ford, RCI Mechanical, LLC, Lanning’s Foods, and People’s Bank of Marietta, trophies will be awarded for best ribs, best wings, best pork, and best brisket.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
This is a DORA event, please ensure that you remain within the DORA boundaries and drink responsibly.
Anyone causing a disturbance, not following the DORA rules, or drinking irresponsibly will be removed from the event.
