A funeral service for Rebecca O. Martin, 83 of Utica will be held at 1pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1pm prior to the service.
Mrs. Martin passed away on June 6, 2025 at Avalon of New Albany. She was born on November 19, 1941 in Newark, OH to the late Kenneth and Charlotte (Bell) Skeese.
Becky was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her. Her warm presence and unwavering compassion touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of gentleness, generosity, and faith.
She was a woman who cherished her family above all else. Her nurturing spirit brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Becky was an active member of Utica La Sertoma, a retired employee of Harts Department Store, and a dedicated Sunday school teacher. She especially loved sharing simple joys—like serving French fries from the Martin Concession Stand—creating fond memories for all around her.
Though she is no longer with us, Becky’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Penny Martin; grandchildren, Heather (Obie) Stillwell, Alex (Holly) Martin and Austin (Stuart) Snedden; great-grandchildren, Joplynn and Marley Jhordan, Paisley and Penelope Martin; brother, David (Helen) Skeese; sister-in-law, Karen Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Martin; brother, Tom Skeese; and brother-in-law, Robert L. Martin.
