Thomas G. Gault, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 3, 1962 in Akron to late Thomas E. and Delores D. (Berger) Gault.

Tom served 6 years in the Navy where he was a Machinist Mate 2nd Class. In the Navy, Tom was known as the “King” by his crew because of his knowledge of the diesel engines. After serving in the Navy, he worked for Sun Strand in San Diego, building military equipment. He was a member of the Saint John the Baptist Parish, attending Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Tom is survived by his stepmother, Kathryn Gault; a brother, Robert (Corbie) Gault; sisters, Deborah (Axel) McGuffie and Amy (Matt) Pierce; and nieces and nephews, Rhiannon, Gabriel, Jessica, Logan and Ulrich.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Daniel Olvera as the Celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by Knox County Joint Veterans Council at the church.

Tom will be buried in the Ohio Reserve National Cemetery near Seville.
