MOUNT VERNON — The Hive will be buzzing with a post-season feel.
Mount Vernon earned the No. 8 seed in the Division II Central boys’ basketball district tournament draw and will open the postseason at home. The Yellow Jackets (11-8) will host No. 9 Worthington Kilbourne in a district semifinal at 7 p.m. Feb. 24.
Division V
Knox Morrow Athletic Conference champ Fredericktown (16-4) picked up the No. 6 seed in the Division V Central district. The Freddies will host No. 11 Mount Gilead in a sectional final at 4 p.m. Feb. 22.
No. 14 East Knox (4-15) will visit No. 3 Bishop Ready at 1 p.m. Feb. 22.
Division VI
Centerburg picked up the No. 4 seed in the Division VI Central district and will host No. 9 Madison-Plains in a sectional semifinal at 7 p.m. Feb. 18.
Division VII
Danville will open the postseason on the road.
The Blue Devils (5-15) picked up the No. 11 seed and will visit No. 4 Fisher Catholic at 7 p.m. Feb. 21.
