Connie J. Goheen, age 81, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on April 7, 1943, in Jackson County, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Georgia (Arthur) Henry. Connie enjoyed scratching her lottery tickets and playing Bingo, but most importantly she loved being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Ella) Goheen of Mount Vernon, Barry Goheen of Ashland, Kathi Goheen of Fredericktown, Tarrah (Brian) West of Fredericktown and Farrah (Jay) Shoemaker of Mount Vernon, ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and a sister, Ida Mundy of Dayton.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Max Goheen, three brothers, Raymond Henry Sr., Wayne Henry, Rex Henry and a sister, Myrna Lenegar.
A special thank you to her granddaughter, Brittany Goheen for the extra love and special care of grandma.
The family will observe a private service later. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Connie J. Goheen.
