Helen L. Phillips, age 97, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Country Club Retirement Campus.
She was born on August 16, 1927, in Greer, Ohio to the late Oscar A. and Mary Alta Piar.
Helen was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Jeanne (Steve Bero) Phillips of Newark; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Piar of Arizona and John (Phyllis) Piar of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Phillips in 2013, son, Rich Phillips; grandson, Cody Phillips; infant daughter, Mary Lou Phillips; five brothers, Don, Ron, Glenn, Charles, and Ralph Piar.
A graveside will be observed on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – 1:00 PM in Mount Calvary Cemetery with the Very Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond officiating.
The Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel is handling the services for the Phillips family.
