MOUNT VERNON – The Board of Knox County Commissioners recognized and commended two local boy scouts Thursday who have achieved Eagle Scout, the Scouts highest honor.
Samuel Wendt is a member of Troop 332 in Mount Vernon. His leadership service project involved building storage box spaces at Saint Vincent de Paul School.
Jospeh Hibbits is a member of Troop 382 in Centerburg. His leadership service project involved building a handicap ramp at Centerburg Interchurch.
The commissioners congratulated both on their outstanding achievements.
